AS A MAN IS ABLE

A brooding painter and a mysterious patrician, both unraveling in the space of each other. This is a story of two people falling in love, for better or for worse.

A 45-paged novelette originally published in 2020, As a Man Is Able is cowritten and illustrated by ngc5139 (on Instagram). The story is set in a Victorian-esque era and follows Marigold, a nonbinary trans widow, and Bastian, a transmasc colorblind artist, as they explore their pasts and feelings for one another. Contains 9 grayscale illustrations.
